Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Expands Healthcare Practice With New Senior Talent
SEATTLE — JULY 14, 2010 — Global integrated communications agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide (WE) today announced that Aimee Corso and Brian Bogie have joined the firm to strengthen and support expansion of its growing Healthcare practice. Corso joins as a senior vice president in the Portland, Ore., office and Bogie joins as a senior account director in the Boston office.

Corso joins WE from WCG (formerly WeissComm). With 20 years of healthcare experience, she has developed and executed some of the industry’s most successful campaigns targeted at key stakeholders such as physicians, patients, advocates, the public, investors and business-to-business collaborators. The breadth of her experience spans integrated marketing including digital strategy development, data communications, global product launches, corporate communications, issues management, and crisis management and response.
Previously she spent a decade at leading healthcare agency FischerHealth/Porter Novelli where she was a partner and leader of the industry’s first dedicated medical devices and diagnostics practice. Corso possesses a deep understanding of healthcare delivery and scientific discovery garnered through her previous role as vice president of Strategic Planning and Marketing at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, and her early career work as a pre-clinical research assistant.
Bogie joins WE from Schwartz Communications, where he was director of the Health Technology Practice. While at Schwartz, his focus included public, analyst, government and customer relations, social media engagement, speaking and awards programs, and crisis communications. His work included strategy and support for the acquisition of several leading health technology companies, including TriZetto’s acquisitions of CareKey and QCSI; Misys Healthcare Systems’ acquisition of Amicore; and the Allscripts merger with Misys Healthcare Solutions.
Previously Bogie worked as a sales and marketing manager for Remtec Inc. in Norwood, Mass., from 1995 to 2000, where he managed the sales, marketing and communications functions for the leading manufacturer of electronic packaging solutions for hybrid technologies, including medical device, military and commercial products.
Bogie is a Boston native who holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Stonehill College and a master of sciences in management from Lesley University. He will report to Senior Vice President Colleen Beauregard, co-founder of the Healthcare practice
