SEATTLE — SEPT. 1, 2010 — Multiservice communications agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide (WE) has promoted Jenny Moede, executive vice president and head of the healthcare practice, to executive vice president of the North America region. In her new role, she will oversee client satisfaction and growth for WE’s practices in North America, including Healthcare, Consumer, Corporate, Public Affairs, Technology and Social Innovation. She also will strengthen global collaboration efforts for the company’s growing roster of global accounts. Moede will continue to be located in WE’s Portland, Ore., office and report to Claire Lematta, president of global regions.
Moede first joined WE from Edelman in 1994. During her tenure at WE, she has had many notable achievements, including leadership of the Microsoft Corporate Communications team and launch of the company’s Healthcare practice in 2001. She has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and product brand development, public relations, public affairs and investor relations, and has represented corporations, nonprofit organizations and professional associations at all stages of development.
Moede’s work has earned many accolades, including PRWeek’s Healthcare Campaign of the Year award, a Totem Award and a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America, a Silver Bulldog Award, and a SABRE Award.
“Jenny’s proven experience in client service and satisfaction and track record of impressive growth for practices under her direction make her uniquely qualified to assume leadership across our practices in North America,” Lematta said. “She has earned a high level of trust and confidence from her clients and colleagues, and, under her direction, the healthcare practice has enjoyed an annual growth rate of 30 percent through a healthy combination of new business and organic growth.”
Moede is one of several WE senior executives to receive promotions. Colleen Beauregard, senior vice president, will assume leadership of the Healthcare practice and will partner with recently hired senior vice president Aimee Corso to further the vision for the Healthcare practice, drive growth and expansion of staff and clients, and build upon the team’s rich history of providing the highest quality integrated communication services to companies delivering innovations that improve lives.
Beauregard will continue in her role as general manager of the Cambridge, Mass., office. Beauregard is a founding member of WE’s Healthcare practice and has 16 years of experience in business and communications strategy and development, crisis communications, and media relations. She currently leads the U.S. and global account teams supporting Shire Human Genetic Therapies and is as an advisor on several other global healthcare accounts. Before co-founding the healthcare team with Moede, she managed industry analyst relations and partner programs for several of Microsoft Corp.’s most strategic initiatives, including the launches of Windows Office XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.
Kimberly Davis, senior vice president, has assumed leadership of the technology practice.
